Mentoring Program Committee

The committee created a mentoring program that will connect young professionals with regional leaders. By initiating this relationship, young professional receive advice and experiences that will help him/her achieve their career goals and the mentor gains a perspective into the skills and network of a young leader in the region.

Make It Happen! Committee

Chairman: 
Amanda Daniels, Arvest Bank

Make It Happen Committee strives to combine regional events, activities and festivals, particularly small events, into larger and longer events. By doing so, the city will increase tourism and increase participating organization’s revenue. It will also allow regional companies to enhance their marketing exposure.

Green & Clean Committee

Chairman: 
Heather Morris, Security Escrow & Title and Jacob Gorham, Corrugated Services

The Green and Clean Committee works to bring greater awareness of the environmental and financial benefits of going green to the community and local businesses. Educational and awareness-oriented programs benefitting industry, small business, commercial, and residential will play a vital role in the success of this initiative.

Curb Appeal Committee

The Curb Appeal Committee works to enhance the curb appeal of the Greater Fort Smith Region by identifying areas that need aesthetic attention, developing a network of resources, and affecting positive change through community communication and involvement.

Christmas Honors Committee

Chairman: 
Philip Merry, Gallagher Merry

Fort Smith, “Christmas Honors” was inspired by Wreaths Across America, which places Christmas wreaths on gravesites at Arlington National Cemetery. The wreaths honor those who have given their lives to provide the freedoms we enjoy in our beloved Nation. The cemetery is transformed into a vision of beauty, and the families of those buried at Arlington take comfort in seeing the respect that is shown to their grandfathers, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends and other fallen heroes who so loved our Country.

Art Matters Committee

Ken Kupchick, Crawford-Sebastian Community Development Council, Inc.

The Art Matters Committee works to revive and enrich community life through arts, history and culture. This alliance will represent the Greater Fort Smith Region on a state level and assist with funding opportunities.
