Health Care

The Wellness Committee creates a community-wide wellness culture and initiative, including awareness, education, programs and competition amongst member companies to promote a healthy Greater Fort Smith Region.

The Grow Our Own Committee helps identify the resources, legislative support, training grants and program developments needed to ensure that the health care training resources of the Fort Smith Region continue to be World Class. Also to help get children involved at a younger age, to educate them on the impact and benefits of the Health Care Field in hopes they will develop a passion and drive to enter into the field and practice in Fort Smith.

The Health Care Education Committee provides on-going resources and education for our member companies on the ever changing health care regulations. The committee also works to increase the community’s awareness and support of the local Area Health Education Center through legislative support, program development and physician recruitment and retention.

The Health Care Division strives to educate Chamber members on the health care resources available in the Greater Fort Smith Region and work to foster an environment where quality health care thrives and grows.
