Education is Cool Committee

The Education Committee encourages elementary students to achieve a 3.0 grade point average and high attendance rates by creating a catalyst for academic achievement through incentives. Students will learn to understand the value of education and the role it plays in opportunities for success in life.

Teacher Appreciation Breakfast Enrichment Committee

The Teacher Appreciation Breakfast Enrichment Committee coordinates events to show appreciation to public and private school teachers.

Special Awards & Recognition Committee

The Special Awards and Recognition Committee seeks opportunities to recognize students, faculty and staff that are the bright stars of our schools and deserve recognition for the hard work and effort they do to surpass expectations.

Diversity Committee

The Diversity Committee works to ensure that opportunities for leadership, training, and enrichment are inclusive and representative of the diversity of the Fort Smith Region.

Arkansas Scholars Committee

The Arkansas Scholars Committee is a continuation of a long-standing program that encourages academic achievement by high school students (grades 9-12), while strengthening the connection between local businesses and the students.

Developing a quality workforce is crucial to economic development. The Chamber works closely with local schools to nurture and support students to ensure that they have the skills, ethics and knowledge to be successful when they enter the workforce. The Education and Quality of Place Division will promote and support education in Fort Smith and enhance additional characteristics of our community so that we retain and attract individuals and companies to the Greater Fort Smith Region.
