Organizational Structure

In 2009, the Fort Smith Regional Chamber Board of Directors created five divisions within the organization to increase member involvement and engagement. The new divisions are Economic Development, Education and Quality of Place, Governmental Affairs, Health Care, and Membership Marketing and Services. With the creation of these divisions, opportunities for member involvement expanded from three committees to more than 30.

Each division is led by a chairman who organizes volunteers to carry out Chamber initiatives. The division chairmen joined the officers on the Chamber’s Executive Committee, increasing the number of individuals on that committee from five to ten. Division chairmen appointed to serve in 2012 are:

Economic Development – Leo Anhalt, SSI, Inc.

Education and Quality of Place – Philip Merry, Gallegher Merry Insurance of Arkansas, Inc.

Governmental Affairs – Michael Barr, WeatherBarr

Health Care – Melody Trimble, Sparks Health System

Membership Marketing and Services – Linda Spradlin, Assurance Realty
