Reynolds Cancer Support House in collaboration with the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce Health Division are asking area businesses and organizations to GO WHITE this November in honor of Lung Cancer Awareness.
Some simple ways to participate include:
- Decorate offices in white and let people know November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month
- Purchase WHITE OUT armbands for employees to wear the month of November ($1 each)
- Have an info table in the lobby where people can pick up brochures on smoking cessation, lung cancer and pledge cards (available through RCSH)

The Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Health Care Division is accepting applications through Friday, October 5 for the inaugural Healthy Workplace Award. This award was created to recognize businesses in the Fort Smith Region that have been practicing workplace wellness and encouraging employees to make healthy lifestyle changes.

The Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Health Care Division announces Wellness Works! Wellness Week 2012. Wellness Week 2012 is scheduled as October 1 through October 7, 2012 and is an effort to heighten the awareness and share the benefits of wellness in the workplace.

The Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce's Wellness Committee worked with member businesses to compile a listing of businesses that have structured wellness programs in the work place. Including with the listing is an outline of the individual wellness program. Workplace wellness programs are recognized by more and more companies for their value in improving health and well-being of their employees.
